Taco Bell Brings Back a Beloved Menu Deal

In honour of National Taco Day on Oct. 4, Taco Bell will give the $10 pass through its mobile app.

As National Taco Day is one of Taco Bell's greatest holidays, the Taco Lover's Pass was brought back.

Pass holders can pick between Crunchy Taco, Crunchy Taco Supreme, Soft Taco, Soft Taco Supreme, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, and Doritos Locos Tacos.

Those who buy the $10 ticket on Oct. 4 can eat one of the aforementioned tacos daily until Nov. 4. Using the pass every day may save a taco-lover $50 to $80.

Fast food "subscriptions" are no longer restricted to Olive Garden's Never Ending Pasta Bowl.

In January, Sweetgreen (SG) debuted a $10 ticket for $3 off any entrée above $9.99, while Subway offered a $15 "footlong pass" for 50% off full-size sandwiches in September.

Subscriptions balance profit and PR. Many guests appreciate all-you-can-eat, but with food inflation, too much ordering can lead to overuse and lower profits.

In January and February, when Taco Bell debuted the deal, barely 1% of passholders bought a taco every day.

Customers with the pass visited Taco Bell three times more than without it, the company claimed. 20% of the passes we sell are to new Taco Bell rewards members.
