Get pedicure supplies. A basin or foot spa, warm water, a towel, nail clippers, a nail file, cuticle pusher, cuticle oil, foot scrub or
exfoliation cream, foot lotion or moisturizer, a pumice stone or foot file, nail polish cleaner, cotton pads, and your favorite nail polish.
Step 2: Prepare Your Feet
Remove nail polish with cotton pads and nail polish remover. Trim and file your nails. Avoid overcutting. Use a cuticle pusher and cuticle oil to soften the cuticles.
Step 3: Soak Your Feet
Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil or foot soak to a basin of warm water.
To soften skin and relax muscles, soak your feet for 10-15 minutes. Roll your feet over pebbles or marbles in the basin for a massage.
Step 4: Exfoliate and Scrub
Towel-dry your feet after swimming. Massage a foot scrub or exfoliating cream into your heels, soles, and rough spots. Rinse and dry your feet.
Step 5: Moisturize Your Feet
Apply lots of foot lotion or moisturizer and massage it in with upward strokes. Focus on heels and dry spots. To boost moisturization, use a foot mask or warm towels.
Step 6: Care for Your Nails
Nail polish remover removes excess moisturizer. Base coats protect nails and improve nail polish adhesion.
Step 7: Relax and Enjoy
After your nails dry, relax and enjoy your home pedicure. Read a book, relax, or do anything else to enjoy the treatment.
