Spice lovers rejoice! Smashburger is bringing back its Scorchin' Hot Crispy Chicken Sandwich after a 2021 limited-time run.

The sandwich had Nashville hot crispy chicken, spicy red pepper mayo, and pickles on a toasted bread.

Better Burger will sell the chicken sandwich online and in-store for $5 until September 30, 2022. Substitutions and add-ons cost extra.

The Scorchin' Hot Crispy Chicken Sandwich debuted with a marketing push to stop the "chicken sandwich warfare" and congratulate the restaurant sector after a challenging year.

The Colorado-based business provided fast-food workers free chicken sandwiches and offered a one-day BOGO promotion.

Smashburger hasn't only brought back the Scorchin' Hot Crispy Chicken Sandwich this year.

In March, the fast-casual burger company released Adult Chicken Tenders and Scorchin' Hot Chicken Tenders in three- and five-piece orders with BBQ sauce, ranch, or honey mustard.

Smashburger added the Colorado Burger on its menu.

Angus beef patty, grilled Anaheim chile peppers, aged cheddar and pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo on a spicy toasted chipotle bread.
